(M)Others Between Shores is a movement-led ethnodrama created from the lived experiences of migrant mothers. Blending physical theatre, puppetry, live music and multilingual performance, it explores how migration reshapes motherhood, identity and belonging.
Created by Resonant Shore Theatre, the production transforms personal testimony into poetic theatrical language through research, collaboration and devised performance. It traces journeys of displacement, resilience and rebuilding home across borders, inviting audiences to encounter migration beyond headlines and statistics.
From the creators of the award-winning Mothering Voices, this intimate ensemble production celebrates the strength, care and courage of mothers forging new lives while opening space for empathy, dialogue and shared understanding.

CAST & CREATIVES
Resonant Shore Theatre Resonant Shore Theatre is a UK-based socially engaged theatre company founded by Hong Kong-born artists. Working through devised and ethnographic performance, the company collaborates with migrant and displaced communities to transform lived experience into theatre that fosters dialogue, belonging and cultural exchange.
Krissy Yin Lam– Director Krissy Yin Lam is a London-based theatre director and applied theatre practitioner specialising in devised and ethnographic performance. She is Artistic Director of Resonant Shore Theatre and previously directed the award-winning Mothering Voices in Hong Kong.
Adeline Chan – Performer Adeline Chan is a UK-based performer and dramatherapist. She received the Outstanding Actress Award at Hong Kong Theatre Libre for her performance in Mothering Voices and continues to combine theatre with community wellbeing in the UK.
Ka-Yan Ip – Performer Ka-Yan Ip is a Manchester-based actor, director and theatre-maker, and a member of the 2025 New Earth Theatre Academy cohort. Her recent work includes includes The Invisible Wing , an ACE-funded touring production, Whispers from the Sea series, exploring migration, language and cultural identity.
Pui-Ka Cheng – Performer Pui-Ka Cheng is a Manchester-based actor, puppeteer and co-founder of Sixth House Theatre. Her recent work includes Drift , an ACE-funded touring production exploring migration and belonging through puppetry and visual theatre.
Vivian Kwong – Performer Vivian Kwong is a London-based performer with a background in English Literature and Gender Studies. A former core member of Hong Kong’s Trinity Theatre, she now develops community engaged theatre that explores migration, identity and women’s lived experiences.
