CREATIVE TEAM
Ali Williams is an actor, storyteller, and improviser.
As a storyteller, Ali performs The Little Raindrop for World Book Day events. As an improviser, she has worked with Third Person, Jeremy Stockwell, Fluxx, Ali & Joe, Alice's Diner, and The Black Sheep.
Her theatre credits include A Christmas Carol (Trafalgar Studios and Wimbledon New Theatre), Epitaph for the Whales (The Gate Theatre), Mrs Moses (Bijou Theatre), An Average Angel (Edinburgh Festival), and a range of new writing productions at Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), the Etcetera Theatre, the White Bear Theatre, and the New End Theatre.
Her screen credits include A Suitable Boy (BBC, directed by Mira Nair), A Beautiful Death (Crooked Finger Films), The 56 Year Old Boy (directed by Bertie Gilbert), The Unspeakable Freedom Device, Animal Condensed >> Animal Expanded, and The Great Curdling (directed by Jennet Thomas).
James Friel is the author of five novels and a Royal Literary Fund (RLF) Fellow.
His debut novel, Careless Talk, won the Betty Trask Prize and was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize.
James has also written numerous literary adaptations for BBC Radio 4, bringing works by acclaimed authors including Kazuo Ishiguro, Iris Murdoch, Honoré de Balzac, David Hare, and Charlotte Brontë to radio audiences.
