In despair over the beheading of the Earl of Essex and the loss of her beloved Privy Council members, Cecil and Walsingham, 69-year-old Elizabeth Tudor returns to the Tower of London to kill herself in the chapel, St. Peter Ad Vincula (Saint Peter in Chains.) It is May 19th, 1601, the 65th anniversary of her mother's death. As Elizabeth Tudor kneels on the floor looking for the burial place of her mother someone enters the chapel from the other side.
It is Elizabeth Windsor who has come to the chapel, on May 19th, 2002 – 400 years later - in despair over the death of her mother and sister and has something to confess to her late Mother that could alter her legacy and the future of England.
As both Queens seek redemption, they suddenly enter a black hole in the chapel and come face-to-face. What happens next will stun both Monarchs as they find themselves trapped in the chapel to face (not only one another) but their demons, their mortality and their roles as Queens in a male-dominated world.
